Owning and maintaining a home computer can be a daunting chore. There are many factors that can affect a computer's performance. Keeping up with hardware and software changes can be a nightmare. Yet sometimes, a simple, straight-forward answer to a question can relieve some of the stress and worry of owning a computer. Here you will find answers to some common questions. Is it cheaper to repair my computer or buy a new computer?
The answer depends on how old your computer is and what is wrong with your computer. Sometimes the cost of the parts to repair your computer can be more money that buying a new or good quality used computer. We will always give you a written cost estimate and help you with your decision on repairing or buying another computer.
How much will it cost me to repair my computer?
This depends on what is wrong with the computer. Most repairs cost around $30 to $60 in labor plus the cost of the replacement part. As mentioned above, a cost estimate will be provided prior to repairs.
What is your warranty policy on your repairs?
We have a 90 day hardware warranty policy on all repairs. We will cover labor and previously replaced parts but not any additional parts that may be necessary to complete the job.
Do you repair on-site?
We do provide on-site repairs. There is a minimum $25 inspection fee when we come out to your home or business. An extra Fee may apply if your location is outside a 100 mile radius from Houghton Lake. If we are unable to repair your computer on-site it may be necessary to bring the computer back to our shop.
